Beach House, the iconic West Vancouver restaurant which has been closed for renovation, will reopen on Friday, November 22.
Linked to a heritage going back more than 100 years, a reimagined Beach House will focus on fresh seafood. It will reopen as a multi-purpose place for a casual lunch by the beach, celebrating a special-occasion over dinner, or just sit, sip, and take in one of the best seaside views in West Vancouver, say the owners.
The revamped menu, created by Earls culinary development chefs David Wong and Hamid Salimian, takes inspiration from the West Coast with a focus on seafood towers, fresh oysters and a seasonal rotation of dishes including monk fish with a white wine mustard sauce, grilled octopus, prawn and scallop spaghettini and a chorizo mussel pot.
The brunch menu too has been completely revamped. It now includes specialty items such as smoked salmon rosti and Nutella French toast offered on Saturday and Sundays 10:00 am-2:00 pm.
The wine menu, curated by sommelier David Stansfield, was designed with West Vancouver in mind with over 101 wine offerings including a reserve menu which highlights a selection of world-famous bottles that pair perfectly with the seafood-focused menu.
The Beach House’s rich history and long-standing presence in the West Vancouver community has not been lost in this renovation of the waterfront heritage building led by Earls designer Kimberley Hume.
Inspired by the building”s original Edwardian architecture, the design features a mix of new and oldaccents such as vintage photography, eclectic antiques and a vibrant collection of art by local BC artists.
The featured artists include West Vancouver’s Gordon Smith and Musqueam Coast Salish artist Susan Point. Beach House will also display works in collaboration with the West Vancouver Art Museum, North Van Arts and the Silk Purse Arts Centre.
Renovations also include a new event space added upstairs. Called The Landing, it will offer a private space for personal(weddings, birthdays, etc.) as well as business use with new furniture and lighting.
The Beach House is located at 15025th St, West Vancouver, V7V 4H8 and will be open seven days a week.
